We publish fast and we publish loudly, and both of those things carry risk. This page sets out honestly what our live data can and cannot be relied on for, why fantasy and opinion content is not guidance, and what we do the moment we get something wrong.

Disclaimer in full

1. General information only

Everything published on SportzCrazy is general information and commentary about sport. It is not professional, legal, financial, medical or investment advice, and it is not an inducement to enter into any transaction. You should not treat a match report, a statistic, a ranking or a podcast segment as a recommendation to do anything with your money.

This site is published by Catalyst Web Trendz Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi. Nothing on it creates an adviser–client, agency or fiduciary relationship between you and us.

2. Live scores: accuracy and latency

Live scores, ball-by-ball updates, match clocks and in-play statistics reach us through third-party data feeds and, during some fixtures, through reporters watching a broadcast. Every step in that chain adds delay. Depending on the sport and the venue, our published score can lag the ground by anywhere from a few seconds to more than a minute, and a broadcast stream you are watching may itself be behind live play.

Scores are also provisional while a match is in progress. Boundaries get reviewed, wickets get overturned by the third umpire, goals get chalked off by VAR, and a feed can send a correction that reverses what we displayed thirty seconds earlier. Our score displays are therefore an indication of the state of play, never an official record.

3. Statistics, standings and rankings

Post-match statistics are frequently revised by the governing body after publication — a scoring decision changes, an appearance is reclassified, a disciplinary sanction alters a points total. Our standings tables, player rankings and archive figures are updated when we receive the revision, which may be hours or days later. Historical figures before 2008 are compiled from multiple sources and occasionally disagree with each other.

Our own rankings, power ladders, ratings and win-probability figures are models we built. They are opinions expressed in numbers, not measurements, and reasonable people can and do disagree with them.

4. The official record always wins

Where anything published on SportzCrazy conflicts with the official record of the relevant governing body, competition organiser or match officials, the official record prevails and ours is wrong. Please tell us when that happens so we can fix it — the fastest route is a WhatsApp message to +91-9953590779 with the fixture and the minute.

5. No betting or gambling advice

SportzCrazy does not provide betting tips, odds analysis, staking advice, sure shots, or any other form of gambling guidance, and nothing on this site should be read as an invitation or encouragement to gamble. We do not publish bookmaker odds, we do not carry betting or gambling advertising, and we do not accept affiliate revenue from any betting operator.

Betting laws in India vary by state and several states prohibit it outright. If you choose to gamble, that is entirely your decision, taken at your own risk and your own legal exposure. We accept no liability of any kind for money staked, lost or won by anyone who read something on this site. If gambling is causing you harm, please seek professional help.

6. Fantasy sports content is opinion, not guidance

Our fantasy articles, captaincy picks, differential shouts, cheap-pick lists and projected points are the personal analytical opinions of the writer at the time of writing. They are published for entertainment and for the argument they start. They are not advice, they are not a prediction of what will happen, and they carry no guarantee whatsoever.

Team news changes at the toss. A player picked as a certain starter can be rested an hour before kick-off. Anyone entering a paid fantasy contest does so entirely at their own risk and on their own judgement, subject to that platform's rules and their own state's laws. We accept no liability for entry fees, contest losses or forgone winnings.

7. Opinion pieces represent their author

Columns, analysis, ratings, rankings, match-report verdicts and podcast discussion represent the personal view of the named writer or presenter at the time of publication. They do not represent an official position of SportzCrazy, of Catalyst Web Trendz Pvt. Ltd., or of any club, league, sponsor or advertiser mentioned.

We publish writers who disagree with each other on purpose. Two of our columnists taking opposite positions on the same selection question in the same week is the point of the section, not an editorial failure.

8. Community and user-generated content

Posts in the fan forum, comments, poll answers and reactions are written by readers, not by our staff, and are not verified before they appear. Rumours, claimed transfer news and injury reports posted by members are unverified unless a member of our editorial team has confirmed them in the same thread.

As an intermediary we moderate to our published rules and act on valid complaints, but we do not endorse member opinions and are not responsible for them. Report anything that breaches the Terms of Use and we will review it.

9. Third-party links and advertising

We link out to governing bodies, clubs, statistics providers, video platforms and other publications because a good story cites its sources. We do not control those sites, we do not vet them continuously, and a link is not an endorsement of their content, their products or their own privacy practices. Once you follow a link you are on somebody else's terms.

Advertising and sponsored placements are commercial arrangements. Sponsored and branded content is labelled as such at the top of the page and is written to the same accuracy standards as our reporting, but no advertiser sees or approves our editorial before publication and no advertiser can influence what we cover.

10. Trade marks, names and likenesses

Club names, competition names, player names and league marks appear on this site for the purpose of news reporting, review and identification. All such marks remain the property of their owners. Their appearance here does not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by or sponsorship from those owners, and SportzCrazy is not an official publication of any club, league or governing body.

11. Corrections policy

We correct openly rather than quietly. Verified factual errors are fixed within one working day of being confirmed, and the article carries a dated correction note at the foot explaining what was wrong and what changed. Significant errors that altered the meaning of a story are additionally flagged in The Daily Siren.

Live scoreline errors are treated as urgent and usually corrected within fifteen minutes during play. Send corrections to info@catalystwebtrendz.com with the article link, or use the newsroom contacts. We do not silently delete published stories except where required by law or a court order.

12. No guarantee of outcomes and limitation of liability

Nothing on SportzCrazy guarantees any outcome — not a result, not a selection, not a transfer, not a fantasy score, not a commercial return from advertising with us. Predictions are predictions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to the limits set out in section 12 of our Terms of Use, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the content of this site, including delayed or incorrect scores, revised statistics, third-party links, service interruption or downtime. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. This disclaimer is governed by Indian law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi.
