Terms of Use

Last updated · Applies to www.sportzcrazy.com, the fan forum and all SportzCrazy memberships

Plain terms for a loud website. Read them once — they cover what you can do with our scores and editorial, what we can do with what you post, how memberships are billed, and what happens when somebody breaks the rules in the forum.

Terms of use in full

1. Agreement and acceptance

These Terms form a binding contract between you and Catalyst Web Trendz Pvt. Ltd., D 29, 2nd Floor, Greater Kailash Enclave 2, Greater Kailash, New Delhi – 110048, which publishes SportzCrazy. By loading any page, subscribing to The Daily Siren, creating an account or buying a membership you accept them. If you do not accept them, stop using the site.

They are published as an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not require a physical or digital signature. We may amend them; material amendments are posted here with a revised "last updated" date and announced on the site at least fourteen days before they take effect. Continuing to use SportzCrazy after that date is acceptance of the amended Terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least eighteen years old, or using the site under the supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms, to create an account. One person, one account. Accounts are personal and non-transferable: you may not share, sell, rent or lend your login, and you may not register a display name that impersonates a player, club, official, journalist or a member of our staff.

You are responsible for everything done under your account and for keeping your password secure. Tell us immediately at info@catalystwebtrendz.com if you believe it has been compromised. We may require you to verify your email address before you can post.

3. Membership tiers and what they include

Reading SportzCrazy, following live scores, voting in polls and posting in the forum are free and will stay free. Paid membership adds ad-free browsing, the full statistics archive back to 2008, early access to podcast episodes and member-only long reads. Tiers, inclusions and current pricing are listed on our Pricing page, which forms part of these Terms.

We may add, change or withdraw individual member benefits. If we materially reduce what your active plan includes, we will tell you before the change and you may cancel for a pro-rata refund of the unused period.

4. Billing, renewal and cancellation

Memberships are prepaid, in Indian rupees, and are billed monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose. All prices are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax unless stated otherwise, and a GST invoice is issued to the email on your account within three working days of each successful payment. Payments are handled by a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway; we never see or store your full card number.

Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and we email you at least seven days before an annual renewal is charged. You can cancel at any time from Account Settings; cancellation stops the next renewal and your benefits run to the end of the period you have already paid for.

New members may cancel within seven days of a first purchase for a full refund provided the statistics archive has not been bulk-exported. Beyond that window we do not refund part-used periods except where a refund is required by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or where we have failed to deliver the service. Failed payments are retried for seven days before the membership lapses to the free tier; no data is deleted when that happens.

5. Community code of conduct

The forum is for argument, not abuse. Attack the selection policy, the tactics, the refereeing decision — never the person. Specifically, you must not post content that: targets anyone with abuse or threats based on religion, caste, gender, sexuality, region, disability or nationality; discloses another person's private information; impersonates another member; solicits or advertises betting, gambling or real-money fantasy services; spams affiliate or referral links; or coordinates brigading of another member or a public figure.

Match threads carry an additional rule: no unverified injury or transfer claims presented as fact. Flag them as rumour or do not post them. Repeat false claims are removed and the account is suspended.

6. Moderation, appeals and takedown

Moderators may remove a post, lock a thread, restrict posting privileges or suspend an account. Actions are logged with a reason and, where a post is removed, the author is notified. You may appeal any action once by writing to us within thirty days; appeals are reviewed by someone other than the moderator who took the original decision and answered within forty-eight working hours.

As an intermediary under section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Intermediary Guidelines, we act on valid takedown notices and on court or government orders. Grievances about user content should go to the Grievance Officer at the contact details below; we acknowledge within seventy-two hours and act within fifteen days, and faster for content that is unlawful on its face.

7. Your content and the licence you grant

You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting publicly on SportzCrazy you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt for format, excerpt and syndicate that content in connection with the site, our newsletters, our podcasts and our social accounts, with attribution to your display name.

This licence exists so that we can quote a good forum take in an article or read a comment out on The Third Umpire. It survives deletion of your account only for copies already published in an edition, episode or article; your live posts are unlinked from your profile when you delete your account. You warrant that you own or are licensed to post everything you submit and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

8. Our intellectual property: editorial, scores and statistics

All editorial, photography substitutes, illustration, podcast audio, page design, code, the SportzCrazy name and logo, and the compiled arrangement of our scores, standings, rankings and statistical archive are owned by Catalyst Web Trendz Pvt. Ltd. or licensed to it, and are protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999.

Individual factual scores are not owned by anyone. Our compilation, structuring, correction and presentation of them is. You may quote a short extract of an article with a visible credit and a working link back. You may not republish a full article, mirror our tables, or present our statistics as your own dataset.

9. Prohibited use

You must not: use the site for any unlawful purpose; interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts or networks (which would be an offence under sections 43 and 66 of the Information Technology Act, 2000); circumvent a paywall, rate limit or moderation restriction; upload malware; forge headers or impersonate another user or system; use SportzCrazy to promote betting, gambling or match-fixing; or resell any part of the service.

10. Scraping, automated access and data reuse

Automated collection of SportzCrazy content — crawlers, scrapers, headless browsers, feed rippers — is permitted only for a search engine indexing the site in the ordinary way and in accordance with our robots directives. Any other automated access requires our written permission.

You may not extract our scores, fixtures, standings, rankings or statistical archive in bulk, build a competing database or product from them, or use them as training data for a machine-learning model, without a written licence. Licensed access is available and priced — that is what our Data Licensing service exists for, and you can ask for a quote through the contact form. We rate-limit, block and, where necessary, pursue unlicensed extraction.

11. Third-party links and advertising

The site carries links to and advertising from third parties. We do not control those destinations, we do not endorse their products by carrying their advertising, and your dealings with them are between you and them. Sponsored and branded content is labelled at the top of the page. We do not accept betting, gambling, real-money fantasy or loan-app advertising.

12. Availability, warranties and limitation of liability

We work hard to keep SportzCrazy up during play, but the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Live data reaches us through third-party feeds and may be delayed, interrupted or wrong; the accuracy limits are set out in full in our Disclaimer. We give no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or any loss arising from a decision you took on the basis of a score, statistic, fantasy article or opinion piece. Our total aggregate liability to a member in any twelve-month period is limited to the membership fees you actually paid us in that period; for a non-paying user it is limited to ₹1,000. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using SportzCrazy at any time and delete your account from Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate an account, with notice where practicable, for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, for conduct that exposes us or other members to legal risk, or where required by law or a court order. Where we terminate a paid membership for reasons other than your breach, we refund the unused portion pro rata.

Sections 7, 8, 12, 14 and any accrued payment obligations survive termination.

14. Governing law, disputes and arbitration

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before commencing any formal proceeding, both sides agree to attempt resolution in good faith for thirty days, starting with a written notice to the Grievance Officer at the address below.

Any dispute that is not resolved in that period shall be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration is New Delhi and the proceedings shall be in English. Subject to the arbitration agreement, the courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from approaching a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or either party from seeking urgent interim relief from a competent court.
